Job Purpose: Help the SMP A&R department with daily administrative tasks and find new music.

What You'll Do:

  • Help with administrative needs that include but are not limited to completing daily tasks for the executive team, allocation of receipts/folios for expense reports, running basic errands, and organizing digital information

  • Research unsigned songwriters and breaking artists via streaming DSPs, attend shows for talent discovery, social media management & more, and provide a weekly report to the A&R team

  • Desk coverage for executive team and/or studio staff as needed

  • Assist receptionist with welcoming guests into SMP studios and stocking kitchen/lobby with food and drinks

  • Add songs into our PITCH database to make songs available and ready to use for our Sync team

  • Collecting US Airplay Add boards from Mediabase weekly to provide to team as well as any other relevant charts

  • Create information blurbs and release playlists for signed songwriters

  • Compile all new releases by US SMP songwriters on New Music Fridays to provide to team

  • Listen to demos from SMP songwriters to provide creative ideas including but not limited to session ideas, pitching placements, and more

  • Help create criteria specific informational songwriter decks to be provided to the Sync team for music supervisors from networks and studios

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university
