General Manufacturing Accountant Company: Symbiotic Services (Recruiting on behalf of a confidential manufacturing client) Position Summary Symbiotic Services is seeking a General Manufacturing Accountant to support two manufacturing facilities. This position is responsible for general ledger, fixed asset, and inventory accounting while ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting operational and financial objectives. Key Responsibilities Perform cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment.

Participate in the month-end close process, including preparing and posting monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries. Analyze financial data and perform account reconciliations, including: Trend analysis Work-in-process (WIP) analysis Detailed general ledger account reconciliations Support quarterly and annual audits by responding to auditor requests and providing required documentation. Extract and prepare financial data for internal and external tax reporting and other required schedules.

Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with internal accounting controls. Manage fixed asset accounting for both book and tax purposes, including: Acquisitions Transfers Assets placed in service Retirements Depreciation Participate in physical inventory activities, including cycle counts and fixed asset inventories. Reconcile inventory balances and record adjustments for raw materials, fixed assets, and other inventory accounts.

Assist with process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Required Experience 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with cost accounting. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience using ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail.
