What is a symbiotic?

Symbiotics generally refers to the concept of symbiosis, where different entities work together for mutual benefit. In a job or workplace context, a symbiotic role typically involves collaborating closely with others, often across different departments or even organizations, to achieve shared goals. These roles may focus on building partnerships, fostering team cohesion, or optimizing processes that benefit all parties involved. The specific duties can vary widely depending on the industry and company, but the core idea is always about promoting cooperation and mutual gain.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a symbiotic?

I'm sorry, but 'Symbiotic' is not a recognized real-world professional occupation, so I cannot provide a skills and qualifications summary for this job title.

Professionals managing symbiotic relationships in environmental organizations often encounter challenges such as aligning the goals and expectations of diverse stakeholders, maintaining long-term engagement, and adapting strategies to evolving ecological and regulatory conditions. Collaboration with scientists, policy makers, and community groups is essential, requiring strong communication and negotiation skills. Balancing conservation objectives with economic or social interests can be complex, but it also provides significant opportunities for professional growth and cross-disciplinary learning.

Job description

About Symbiotic
Symbiotic is the infrastructure beneath collateral markets, where capital can secure financial obligations, remain productive, and be enforced by code.
By changing the economics of onchain collateral, Symbiotic enables new categories of neofinance applications that were previously impossible to build - including credit, insurance, RWA liquidity, and more.
As institutional capital increasingly moves onchain, Symbiotic is positioned to become the coordination layer connecting capital and risk across the onchain economy.
Backed by Paradigm, Pantera, Cyber.fund, and Coinbase Ventures, we power 80+ vaults, 74,000+ active stakers, and 111 operators - with Chainlink and Cap Labs among the teams live in production.
See how Symbiotic is powering the next generation of onchain finance: symbiotic.fi
Our People
We're a tight-knit team of experienced builders working at the forefront of financial infrastructure. Our backgrounds span high-growth tech start-ups, leading crypto companies, major banks, insurers, and financial institutions. We work with ownership, a high bar for craft, and the urgency of an early-stage company - in an environment where people are trusted to take initiative and supported to do their best work.
We're looking for talented professionals to join us at a defining moment, as Symbiotic helps shape the next generation of onchain finance.
What You'll Do
• Lead the product design function collaborating closely with Leadership, Engineering, Product and Marketing teams
• Design the full user journey for Symbiotic's product stack making onchain complexity legible and optimising for clean user flows.
• Surface risk, exposure, and returns so users understand what they're committing to and what happens when conditions change.
• Run user research. You'll interview users, watch how they actually behave, and turn what you find into concrete feature scopes engineering can build from.
• Partner closely with Engineering to define problems, weigh tradeoffs, and design within real protocol constraints rather than around them.
Who You Are
• Deep on-chain fluency: wallets, approvals, signing, gas, transaction lifecycle, chain latency - and a working understanding of how each one constrains what's designable.
• You've shipped a DeFi product to real users, and you can point to it
• A portfolio showing end-to-end product work - systems-level thinking alongside obsessive detail.
• Track record of operating autonomously in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with limited oversight.
• Comfortable without scaffolding: no design team, no design system to inherit, no one queuing your work.
• You run your own research rather than waiting for it to be handed to you.
• Excellent cross-functional communication - you can partner closely with Engineering and hold a position under scrutiny.
• Deep fluency in Figma and modern prototyping workflows.
