Plant Manager Location: High Point, NC Compensation: $95,000-$110,000 Company: Symbiotic Services - On behalf of a client in the furniture manufacturing industry ________________________________________ Department: Operations Reports to: Director of Operations FLSA Status: Exempt Supervises: 3 Hourly Supervisors Position Summary Partnering with the Director of Operations, the Plant Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations on the production floor, including production, quality assurance, employee training, and safety. Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and customer expectations. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Follow operational controls and reporting procedures to ensure financial targets, efficiency, and quality.

Supervise and support the Production team (payroll, time off, performance, etc.). Act as liaison between leadership and staff for communications and decisions. Implement efficiency tracking systems and manage downtime

Lead various projects and company initiatives. Monitor equipment maintenance and work order policies. Optimize employee levels and minimize overhead/material costs.

Ensure production standards and compliance with safety/training/housekeeping. Participate in internal committees and plant projects. Enforce safety protocols and PPE usage.

Carry out responsibilities per company policy and law. Experience & Education Requirements High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 5+ years in furniture manufacturing or equivalent.

3+ years managing hourly workforce in process-oriented operations. Experience developing workflows and systems in a customer-focused environment. Skilled in managing diverse employee groups.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean principles. Business acumen with decision-making perspective across departments. High initiative, accountability, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage and motivate employees with professionalism. Strong cross-functional collaboration. Technology/Communication Skills Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems. Capable of leading meetings and addressing questions from staff and leadership. Travel & Other Requirements Up to 5% local travel within NC.

Occasional evenings/weekends for events or project deadlines. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Primarily office-based with significant time on the production floor. Exposure to machinery, dust, and manufacturing hazards-PPE required.
