What are Switchyards?

Switchyards are specialized facilities or locations in the electric power grid where high-voltage electricity is routed, switched, and sometimes transformed to different voltages. They serve as critical nodes that connect various parts of the grid, including power generation stations, transmission lines, and distribution networks.
