In this role, you'll own the customization and delivery of switchboard designs from concept to manufacturing release. You'll leverage your CAD expertise and deep knowledge of UL 891 standards to develop mechanical and electrical prints that meet rigorous quality and safety benchmarks. If you thrive in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment and enjoy bringing electrical infrastructure to life, this is the role for you.

  • Work with our product and engineering teams to translate designs into accurate manufacturing prints
  • Create detailed mechanical and electrical CAD drawings in SolidWorks, adhering to UL 891 and other applicable standards
  • Maintain up-to-date design documentation and clearly communicate changes to relevant stakeholders
  • Review and verify all drawings to ensure clarity, manufacturability, and alignment with technical requirements
  • Troubleshoot design issues during production in collaboration with manufacturing teams
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlines
  • Communicate effectively across time zones to align technical deliverables and resolve any issues quickly
Requirements
  • Degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks
  • Demonstrated experience designing UL 891-compliant low-voltage switchboards
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and material specifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when coordinating with international teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
Bonus points
  • Familiarity with North American electrical and manufacturing standards
  • Familiarity with UL 67, PDU, or medium voltage switchgear design
  • Familiarity with Annex G of UL 891
  • Experience using PDM systems for CAD file management ( Solidworks PDM)
  • Background working with international or cross-functional teams in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of modular data center or infrastructure products
Benefits
  • Subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Equity (options) in a rapidly growing startup
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Parental leave
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA)
