Swiss Programmer – Precision CNC Machining (Aerospace / Medical / Defense)

Schedule: Full‐time 4-10's

Environment: Modern, clean, climate‐controlled precision shop


A high‐end precision machining manufacturer is seeking an experienced Swiss Programmer to support complex, tight‐tolerance production for aerospace, medical, and defense customers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical, hands‐on environment and enjoys programming, optimizing, and troubleshooting Swiss‐type CNC machines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Program Swiss‐type CNC machines using G‐Code, CAM software, and at‐machine programming
  • Develop efficient machining strategies for tight‐tolerance, complex components
  • Create, edit, and optimize programs for new and repeat jobs
  • Support setups, tooling selection, offsets, and process improvements
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineering, and quality to ensure first‐pass accuracy
  • Troubleshoot issues at the machine and adjust programs as needed
  • Interpret detailed prints, GD&T, and customer specifications
  • Maintain documentation, revision control, and program integrity
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across machining processes

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of Swiss machining and programming experience
  • Strong proficiency in G‐Code, at‐machine edits, and CAM programming
  • Experience with tight‐tolerance machining for aerospace, medical, or defense parts
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T
  • Hands‐on troubleshooting skills with tooling, feeds/speeds, and machining processes
  • Familiarity with modern Swiss platforms (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, etc.)
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‐solving skills
