Job description

Job Title: Swim Lesson Instructor
Reports To: Aquatics Coordinator
Expected Results: In Support of the Genesis Intentional Culture
1. Purpose: The Swim Lesson Instructor operates in accordance with the Genesis Purpose, treating staff as family & helping people take charge of their health!
2. Mission: The Swim Lesson Instructor ensures the Genesis Mission is fully executed within the club, fulfilling the commitment we make to members regarding the quality of their club experience and our ownership of their health and fitness results.
3. Values: The Swim Lesson Instructor behaves in accordance with the Genesis Values, setting the bar for the standards and principles of behavior that are essential to fulfilling the company's Purpose and executing its Mission.
4. Tools: The Swim Lesson Instructor uses the Genesis Awareness, Communication, and Conflict Resolution Tools to facilitate effective operations throughout the club.
5. Brand Absolutes: The Swim Lesson Instructor models all five Genesis Brand Absolutes, supporting and building a positive reputation of the Genesis Brand in the community.
Expected Results:In Support of Club Performance & Member Experience
1. The Swim Lesson Instructor provides safe and effective swim lesson instruction to participants, following industry standards and best practices.
2. The Swim Lesson Instructor communicates with clients and parents effectively regarding client progress, goals, program and facility information.
3. The Swim Lesson Instructor works with the Aquatics Coordinator to achieve lesson revenue and participation targets.
4. The Swim Lesson Instructor utilizes club software correctly to schedule and manage clients effectively; The SLI ensures accurate & timey payment of services.
5. The Swim Lesson Instructor is responsible for ensuring the pool facilities meet Genesis Brand Standards 100% of the time.
• Pool deck is clean and free of debris; Equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
• Communicate Aquatics facility issues in real time using the ticketing system and follow up on items with Aquatics Coordinator.
6. The Swim Lesson Instructor participates in all department meetings as scheduled.
Position Qualifications and Requirements
Qualifications - Swim Lesson Instructor
• Genuine passion for aquatics instruction and providing safe lesson experiences
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Current Swim Lesson Instructor Certification
• Ability to operate Excel, Word, Outlook & other software packages used by the company
• Demonstrated ability to build culture and team environment within the club
• Effective communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills
Requirements - Swim Lesson Instructor
• This position is part-time with a variable schedule; the ability to workdays, evenings, and weekends according to the needs of the club is required
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• This position requires physical exertion; standing, walking, lifting, handling, thinking, problem solving, some of it constant
Compensation: $25.00 per hour
