Job Title: Adaptive Swim Instructor
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled adaptive swim instructor to lead our Adaptive Water Safety Program for children aged 3-12. The program takes place on Thursdays from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, focusing on building confidence, safety, and fun in the water.
In addition to running the group program, you'll have the flexibility to design your own schedule by offering private and semi-private swim lessons, providing tailored instruction to swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct the Adaptive Water Safety Program, creating a safe and inclusive environment for participants.
  • Customize swim instruction to meet the diverse needs of children, emphasizing water safety and enjoyment.
  • Teach private and semi-private swim lessons, adapting lessons to individual goals and abilities.
  • Communicate effectively with families and team members to support swimmer progress.
  • Promote water safety awareness and practices in all lessons.

Qualifications:
  • Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and Swim Instruction (Red Cross or equivalent).
  • Experience in teaching swim lessons to individuals with varying abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching techniques to accommodate diverse needs.
  • Passion for fostering inclusion and water safety.

Pay:
  • $35 per hour.
