Job description

Adaptive Swim Coach (1:1 Therapeutic Setting)Aqua-Tots Swim School is seeking a compassionate professional with experience in ABA, special education, therapy, or working with children with adaptive needs to join our Adaptive Swim Program.This role focuses on primarily 1:1 sessions, helping children with autism and unique abilities build water safety, confidence, and independence in a structured, supportive environment.Why This Role is DifferentWork 1:1 with children (not large groups)Apply ABA/therapy strategies in a real-world environmentSupport sensory regulation, transitions, and motor skillsMake a direct impact on a critical life skill: water safetyPosition Details Part-time (5-12 hours/week)Consistent weekly schedule• Weekday afternoons or weekends• Sessions are primarily 1:1 with parent involvementCompensation$25-$30/hour based on experiencePaid training providedWhat You'll DoLead 1:1 adaptive swim sessions• Support children with varying sensory and behavioral needs• Teach water safety and foundational swim skills• Guide parents during sessions• Celebrate progress and build confidenceIdeal Background RBT, behavior therapist, paraprofessionalSpecial education teacher• OT / SLP (or students in training)Experience with autism or adaptive needsImportantNo swim teaching experience required - we train you.Your experience working with children is what matters most.
