Job description

Are you looking for a FUN and REWARDING place to work where you can make a lasting impact while earning some additional income? Then look no further! Aqua-Tots Swim School is seeking a part-time, compassionate, and patient swim instructor to teach our SNAP (Special Needs Aquatics Program) swim lessons.

We are looking for individuals currently or formerly employed as paraprofessionals, special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational or behavioral therapists, or those in similar fields and/or educational backgrounds that are seeking some additional hours supporting children with special needs. Someone looking for 5-10 hours a week to use existing skills in a new fun way.

No prior swimming experience is required. Current or prior education or work in similar fields required/expected/needed. We will provide comprehensive training in our curriculum and equip you with the tools to adapt it to your existing strengths and expertise with special needs children.

Plus, with a starting pay of $22+/Hour, you can earn a competitive wage while doing what you love.

As a Special Needs Swim Instructor, you will:

  • Work exclusively with children in our SNAP program.
  • Teach water safety and swimming skills in a supportive, friendly environment.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of each child.
  • Celebrate progress with families and help children build confidence in and around water.
