Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with 4-5 years of experience, Level 1 trauma center background, and ASHA certification for a Voice, Speech & Swallow unit at a major academic medical center in Boston, MA.

Details
  • Work in the Voice, Speech & Swallow unit of a Level 1 trauma center academic medical center in Boston, MA
  • Acute care setting with complex cases including tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent patients
  • Proficiency in Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) or Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) required; competency in MBS is strongly preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • 26-week contract
  • Day shift, 7:30 AM โ€“ 4:00 PM, 40 hours per week
  • No floating required
  • No on-call requirement
Requirements
  • Active MA Speech-Language Pathology license required (if applicable)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Minimum 4-5 years of SLP experience required
  • Level 1 trauma center experience required
  • Experience with acute tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent patients required
  • Fully competent in either MBS or FEES; MBS competency strongly preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions permitted)
  • COVID vaccine and booster required (medical exemptions permitted)
Additional Information
  • Candidates must have been separated from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility for at least 6 months prior to consideration โ€” this applies to all previous employees regardless of employment type (travel, permanent, or per diem)
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
