Job Specific Contacts 1. General Contacts: Frequent contact with physicians, nursing personnel, allied health personnel, patients, families and community. 2. Job Provides Direction to: Allied health professionals. D. Environment and Demands 1. Environmental Demands: Hospital patient rooms and radiology department. 2. Essential Physical and Cognitive Demands, Manual Dexterity: Essential physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and walking. Cognitive demands include concentration and problem solving. This individual must also demonstrate customer and employee sensitivity appropriate to the situation. B. MISSION/STRATEGIC PLAN: Participates in activities which support the mission of the hospital C. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES: Demonstrates the required job specific technical/professional knowledge, skills and abilities. \* 1. Administers direct care to assigned patients. Performs Speech Language Pathology evaluations, sets goals with patients, families and physicians, administers therapeutic treatment and performs assessments according to departmental Policy and Procedure. Plans and implements patient treatments according to Speech Language Pathology standards of practice. 2. Assists in the selection of diagnostic and treatment supplies, materials and equipment. 3. Coordinates care with physicians, patient, family and other members of the treatment team. Provides written instruction to patients, families and other caregivers as indicated. 4. Documents appropriate notes and summaries in the patient record with each treatment, contact or conference. Completes documents necessary for billing and third party reimbursement or inquiries. 5. Adheres to all terms of contract. \* Document on addendum age specific competency. Part II: Employee Performance Standards A. CUSTOMER SERVICE: 1. Utilizes resources to maintain and improve self-development and knowledge. 3. Complies with licensure and/or certification requirements. 4. Participates in annual competency assessment. C. BUDGET: 1. Demonstrates fiscally prudent use of equipment and supplies. 2. Utilizes charge process for supplies/equipment. D. PROJECTS/ASSIGNMENTS: 1. Completes projects/assignments within projected time frames and expectations. **Qualifications*** Masters Preferred* Preferred with adults with neurological and developmental disorders.
