Job description

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in related field, Certification or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and Licensure or eligible for Speech Pathology License from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Preferred: 

Experience in acute care and/or clinical swallow evaluations, PMV evaluations and speech/language evaluations. Training and consideration to strong candidates without acute care experience.  No CFY's please.

Job Summary:
To provide professional skills in the comprehensive evaluation of patients with speech and language impairments, and to provide habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services.

Job Duties:
Our Speech Pathology program includes the following services in acute care, and outpatient clinic settings:  infant and toddler feeding assessments, pediatric and adult modified barium swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing, videostroboscopy and voice treatment, assessment of trach and ventilator dependent patients, speech rehabilitation for head and neck cancer patients, and speech, language and cognitive-linguistic assessments.  Additional opportunities include teaching of medical students, residents, and supervision of clinical fellows.


Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience.
