Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Chemistry Department at Saginaw Valley State University invites applications for an adjunct faculty position for the Winter 2025 and/or the 2025-2026 academic year. These part-time positions are for a variety of chemistry courses, including general chemistry I and II laboratories.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.

  • The ability to teach in-person, on-campus is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in Chemistry or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Previous experience teaching high school or college is desirable.

Scheduled weekly hours vary depending on class contract load. Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis.

SVSU is constructing the first university research facility on Lake Huron to improve public health and the economy in the Saginaw Bay watershed.
More than 70 percent of SVSU freshmen live on campus in student housing that has been rated No. 1 among public universities in the U.S. (2018-2025).
