Job Summary:
The Manager of Sustainability is responsible for leading and executing the company's sustainability initiatives to translate strategy into daily actions. This role collaborates across the organization to drive sustainability programs, partner with leaders and teams, and embed sustainable practices into daily operations. Additionally, the Manager supports learning and development efforts by implementing programs that enhance team member knowledge and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the implementation of sustainability initiatives across various operational areas such as facilities, supply chain, grounds, and rooms division.
- Collaborate with leaders and teams to integrate sustainable practices into daily workflows and decision-making processes.
- Drive projects focused on energy conservation, waste reduction, water efficiency, and overall emission reduction.
- Monitor, analyze, and report sustainability performance, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Promote sustainability education and engagement initiatives for team members.
- Strengthen and manage sustainability partnerships and community initiatives to support corporate sustainability and responsibility goals.
- Identify and pursue opportunities that engage team members and have a positive impact on the community.
- Provide support for learning programs and platforms, including administration and reporting.
- Communicate with team members to enhance understanding of learning and development programs.
- Ensure consistent, professional, and effective learning experiences for team members and facilitators.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in leading sustainability initiatives and driving environmental programs.
- Strong understanding of sustainability principles and practices.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of sustainability best practices and industry standards.
- Certification in sustainability or related field is a plus.
