Job description

Job Title: Advanced Annuity Accounting & Suspense Specialist
Onsite, Location: League City, Texas - Marina One
Status: Full-Time, Hourly
Reports to: Senior Manager, Production (Annuities)
Join our Annuity Operations team as a go-to resource for complex transactions, escalations, and suspense management. This role supports Disbursements, partners closely with internal teams and representatives, and helps keep high-impact work moving accurately and on time.
What you'll do
  • Own and report on suspense items, partner with teams to research root cause, and drive timely resolution
  • Support disbursement transactions including partial/full withdrawals, fund/allocation transfers, and maturity transactions
  • Support accounting activities such as reconciling/balancing payment jobs, processing bank changes, wires, EFT balancing, and clearing daily errors
  • Assist with correspondence and contract inquiries (illustrations, histories, beneficiary/ownership changes, assignments, TEFRA/TAMRA questions)
  • Help train and mentor teammates; serve as a "go-to" for escalations and process improvement opportunities

What we're looking for
  • 2+ years minimum, experience in annuities, insurance operations, insurance/financial services operations, or a closely related environment (4+ years overall experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated strengths in critical analysis, reconciliation/suspense work, and resolving complex issues with attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in multiple systems (e.g., PolicyLink, BPM/Insight, SharePoint) and using Microsoft Office (basic Excel/data entry)
  • Strong customer service mindset and professional communication with internal partners, representatives, and contract owners
  • Growth mindset-willing to ask questions, adapt quickly, and help others learn
  • High School Diploma required
