What is a Sushi Burrito?

A sushi burrito is a fusion food that combines elements of Japanese sushi and the format of a burrito. It typically consists of sushi ingredients such as raw or cooked fish, rice, vegetables, and sauces, all wrapped in a large sheet of seaweed (nori) and rolled into a burrito shape. Sushi burritos are often larger than traditional sushi rolls and are designed to be eaten by hand, making them a convenient and portable meal option. They have become popular in many urban areas and are commonly found in specialty restaurants or food trucks. The fillings and flavors can vary widely, allowing for both traditional and creative combinations.

Job description

NOW HIRING

FRONT-OF-HOUSE / CASHIER ROCKSTAR

Location: The LINQ Promenade (Vegas Strip)   |  Position: Cashier / Brand Ambassador   |  Vibe: High-Energy

At Jaburritos, we didn't just open a restaurant; we created a whole new category. We are the home of the original sushi burrito. Premium flavors of Japan with the bold, fast-casual energy of Mexico. Located right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, we are high-volume, high-flavor, and high-energy.

We don't do boring, and we don't do ordinary. We run a tight, fast, high energy kitchen, and we need a Front-of-House crew that matches that energy.

As a Jaburritos Cashier, you aren't just punching buttons on a screen; you are the face of the brand. You are the first person a hungry tourist or local sees when they walk in, and the one who sets the vibe for their entire experience.

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO:

  • Own the Energy: Welcome guests with genuine enthusiasm, guide first-timers through our unique menu, and make recommendations like a pro.
  • Keep it Moving: Handle high-volume rushes with speed, accuracy, and a smile. (The Strip gets busy—we thrive in the chaos).
  • Keep it Clean: Maintain a spotless front-of-house area because great food deserves a great environment.
  • Be a Team Player: Side-hustle when needed to support the back of house and keep the restaurant running like a finely tuned machine.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Unstoppable Energy: You are outgoing, positive, and love talking to people. If you have a resting smile and can chat with someone from across the world, you’ll fit right in.
  • Speed & Focus: You can multitask under pressure without losing your cool. When the line stretches out the door, you get a rush, not stress.
  • Physical Hustle: This is a high-energy, active gig. You’ll be on your feet, moving fast, and will need the ability to comfortably lift and carry up to 40 lbs (think moving restock boxes) without breaking a sweat.
  • Reliability: You show up on time, ready to work, and don't leave your team hanging.
  • The Basics: Experience in cash-handling or food service is a plus, but a phenomenal attitude and a hunger to learn matter way more. We can teach you the register; we can't teach you how to have a great personality.

WHY IT PERKS TO WORK HERE:

  • Competitive Pay + GREAT Tips: Working on the Strip means heavy foot traffic and massive tip potential.
  • Free Food: Yes, you get to eat the best sushi burritos and sushi tacos in Vegas on every shift.
  • A Vibe You’ll Actually Like: No stuffy corporate suits here. We work hard, play loud music, and celebrate each other’s wins.
  • Growth Potential: We are always looking for leaders. Show us what you've got, and we will help you move up.

READY TO JOIN THE CREW?

If you’re tired of boring restaurant jobs and want to work somewhere with personality, energy, and a killer menu, we want to talk to you.
