Surveillance Observer
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Maintains strict adherence to the confidentiality of all departmental and Binions information.
  2. Maintains close observation on all casino table activities from the monitoring system
  3. Utilizes necessary equipment to identify, record, and document illegal and unusual activities occurring in the casino slot areas, slot booths, and cage areas.
  4. Reports all illegal and unusual activities to the appropriate authorities.
  5. Knows casino control laws and attendant regulations, as well as, Binions internal controls, policies and procedures.
  6. Part time or extra board employees may be called as needed for all days and shifts.
  7. Position involves extensive periods of sitting.
  8. Willing and able to work overtime or different shifts with little notice.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, and ABILITY:
Must have the aptitude to learn all casino games and understand the basic strategy of each game. Adequate math skills required for position. May be exposed (via monitors) to peoples involvement in obscene actions, violence, drug use, illness, injury and theft.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent: College courses in related subject area preferred.
Experience: One (1) year in surveillance system operations of gaming operations preferred but not entirely necessary.
Certifications/Licenses: Gaming Registration
