Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Observe all activities of guests and team members on the casino floor, cage areas, and count rooms via closed circuit television (cctv), for any instances of criminal activity and/or violations of the state gaming regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • The Surveillance Agent shall record such activities, where appropriate, and report observations to appropriate company and state officials when necessary.
  • The Surveillance Agent shall assist in answering phone calls, monitoring the radio, maintaining the daily log and writing reports.
  • The Surveillance Agent shall have demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of surveillance and casino operations before assuming this position.
  • The Surveillance Agent shall assume responsibility for the surveillance room in the absence of a shift supervisor and/or relief shift supervisor.
  • Directly supervises team members in the Surveillance room in the absence of a shift supervisor and/or relief shift supervisor, when assigned. 
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • The Surveillance Agent shall record such activities, where appropriate, and report observations to appropriate company and state officials when necessary.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Competencies:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
