What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
  • Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when necessary
  • Supporting daily living skills and independence
  • Helping individuals participate in community activities, appointments, and social events
  • Providing companionship, encouragement, and emotional support
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
  • Following individualized support plans and goals
  • Promoting dignity, respect, and person-centered care
