Job description

Delta Solutions & Strategies is looking for a Strategic Bomber SME at Offutt Air Force Base. This position supports United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Joint Exercises, Training, and Assessment Directorate (J7) in the planning, coordination, execution, and assessment of strategic-level joint exercises and training events supporting strategic deterrence and global operations missions.

This position will provide senior-level strategic bomber operations expertise supporting joint exercise operations, operational planning, strategic deterrence activities, and global strike mission integration. This role supports the development and execution of realistic operational scenarios involving bomber operations, air component integration, mission planning, and strategic operational execution.

What you'll be doing:
  • Support planning, coordination, execution, and assessment of strategic-level joint exercises and operational activities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on strategic bomber operations, global strike missions, and air component integration activities.
  • Support development of realistic exercise scenarios involving bomber operations, operational planning, mission execution, and strategic deterrence activities.
  • Coordinate with operational planners, air component staffs, battle staffs, and mission partners to support exercise objectives and operational realism.
  • Support operational integration across Combatant Command, Joint Staff, service, and MAJCOM-level organizations.
  • Assist with development of operational products, mission execution materials, exercise injects, and operational timelines.
  • Participate in planning conferences, rehearsals, after-action reviews, and lessons learned activities.
  • Provide operational expertise supporting strategic deterrence and global strike mission requirements.
What you'll need:
  • Minimum of 15 years of practical B-1, B-2, B-52, and/or B-21 operational experience as a military officer.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, service headquarters, MAJCOM, or equivalent operational organizations.
  • Air Operations Center experience required.
  • Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase II graduate required.
  • Senior Service School graduate required.
  • Weapons School graduate required.
  • Master’s degree or higher required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic bomber operations, operational planning, and strategic mission execution.
  • Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and operational planning skills.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
