Job Summary

Join Leonardo DRS Land Electronics as a Procurement Supervisor supporting Government programs across Huntsville, AL and Melbourne, FL. This role leads a Procurement team in a high-volume, quick-turn environment, ensuring CPSR-compliant purchasing that meets quality, delivery, and cost expectations. The position supports a diverse mix of COTS materials, high-value complex electronics, and build-to-print shipping and packaging solutions, while driving workload prioritization, supplier issue resolution, cross-functional coordination, and team development to ensure efficient, compliant procurement execution.

Job Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day procurement execution; set priorities, maintain urgency, and hold the all parties (procurement team, internal teammates, and suppliers) accountable to meeting their required commitments
Ensure CPSR-compliant purchasing from requisition through PO placement and file documentation for your team and your own PO files
Support and improve department policies/procedures; lead process improvements projects and work cross-functionally
Lead negotiations; apply knowledge of contract terms and practices to minimize risk and achieve success to meet internal and external goals
Manage supplier performance and issues end-to-end; drive follow-through, communicate expectations, and support supplier visits as needed
Monitor metrics (on-time delivery, cycle time, spend profile, cost savings/avoidance); take corrective action when required
Consolidate requisitions where appropriate to leverage pricing and reduce administrative effort
Track placement-to-need-date performance and identify recovery actions to support program delivery requirements
Research and analyze cost/price data to support price analysis and cost reduction initiatives
Support and reinforce organizational mission, values, and culture; perform special assignments as directed

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or related field with 3+ years' experience and 2+ years leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, interpersonal, and communication skills; strong customer interface capability
  • Ability to work effectively in a quick-turn, high-volume environment supporting Government programs
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills; working knowledge and use of price analysis
  • Understanding of governmental regulations and reporting requirements; ability to adhere to applicable procurement/contract laws
  • Ability to understand military specifications and read blueprints/build-to-print documentation
  • This position is remote; however, the ideal candidate will reside within commuting distance of Huntsville, AL or Melbourne, FL to support onsite collaboration and business needs as required
