Summary:
The Department of Management, Marketing, & Logistics at Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University invites suitable qualified candidates to apply for a full-time faculty appointment in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program. The rank and tenure-status of the position is negotiable based on qualifications.
Anticipated start date is August 15, 2025.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will be expected to teach classes at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in the areas of logistics and supply chain management, including Supply Chain Risk Management, Strategic Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Operations Management, Decision Modeling, Quantitative Methods and Business Analytics.
  • The candidate should also be able to conduct research and publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed supply chain management journals, as well as work collegially with faculty and have the enthusiasm and ability to provide service to the institution, profession and community.

Typical Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
  • An earned Ph.D. degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transportation, Operations Management, or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution.

Candidates with a Ph.D. in a related field should have completed at least 18 semester credit hours of graduate level courses in the teaching discipline.
