Position Summary

Hanwha Defense USA is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to support integrated supply chain operations across procurement, logistics, production planning, and supplier management. This midlevel role will ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective material flow to meet Program, Engineering, and Production requirements within a defense manufacturing and development environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end supply chain activities including procurement, supplier engagement, production planning, inventory control, and logistics coordination.
  • Oversee sourcing strategies, competitive bidding, and supplier qualification in accordance with DoW contracting standards and company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, DFARS, FAR, and other applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal functional teams such as Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance to ensure alignment of supply chain activities.
  • Monitor supplier performance, manage risk, and implement corrective action plans when needed.
  • Develop and maintain accurate material forecasts, production schedules, and supply plans to support program milestones.
  • Support government audits, internal compliance reviews, and material management documentation requirements.
  • Optimize inventory levels, transportation routes, and procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Use ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) to manage material requirements, purchasing activity, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Prepare formal reports, metrics, and analyses to support leadership decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation, contract file maintenance, and adherence to corporate supply chain policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in supply chain operations, procurement, logistics, or production planning-preferably within defense, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Direct experience supporting DoD programs, government contracting environments, or controlled defense manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFARS, and other regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SAP, ERP/MRP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical data packages, drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Huntsville, AL.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-controlled information.
