Job Summary
York Space Systems is seeking a Supplier Program Manager to manage aerospace components and manufactured parts through effective supplier contracting, negotiation, and performance oversight. This role supports multiple departments by leading the Supplier Focus Team and driving communication across program management, production, inventory, IT, and finance. The position is focused on ensuring strong supplier relationships and the delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget. The Supplier Program Manager will negotiate optimal terms for the company while managing cost, schedule, and technical performance.
This role will be fully on-site in our Greenwood Village office.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing
• Verify requisitions, issue RFQs/RFPs, and award contracts.
• Perform cost analysis and maintain accurate records and ERP updates.
• Manage P-card usage and execute purchasing decisions.
Supplier Management & Vendor Relations
• Lead supplier status calls and resolve supplier issues.
• Build strong vendor relationships and identify cost/schedule improvements.
• Act as liaison and provide updates to internal teams.
Subcontract & Contract Oversight
• Manage subcontractor performance and negotiate agreements.
• Develop subcontract strategies and mitigate risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Lead the Supplier Focus Team and partner with engineering, finance, planning, and IT.
• Communicate procurement updates to key stakeholders.
Data, Reporting & Process Improvement
• Analyze supplier data and share metrics in project meetings.
• Identify process improvements and manage multiple procurement projects.
Qualifications Required for the Role
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace), Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of project, program, or supplier management experience, including 2+ years directly administering, managing, or ensuring compliance with U.S. Government prime contracts (FAR/DFAR)
  • Experience serving as an external-facing representative with suppliers, subcontractors, or government customers.
  • Ability to work independently while ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams and program objectives during critical phases of execution.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management capabilities, including the ability to manage complex procurement workflows and multi-disciplinary schedules
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills, including data interpretation, cost analysis, and the application of logical and deductive reasoning to supplier and program performance
  • Must currently hold or be willing and eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance up to and including TS/SCI.

Preferred for the Role
  • Current, active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance
  • 6+ years of purchasing experience in aerospace or similar field preferred.
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management capabilities, including the ability to manage complex procurement workflows and multi-disciplinary schedules
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills, including data interpretation, cost analysis, and the application of logical and deductive reasoning to supplier and program performance
  • Experience with government contracting regulations (e.g., FAR/DFAR),
  • Experience navigating ERP platforms to execute purchase orders, update procurement status, track material requirements, and analyze supplier performance.
