Job description

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Waynesboro, MS lumber facility. In this role, you will lead the maintenance team in ensuring equipment reliability while driving safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the operation. You will oversee daily maintenance activities, including preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and coordinating timely repairs to support production needs.
 
This position plays a key role in maximizing equipment uptime, product quality, and overall plant productivity while reinforcing a strong culture of safety and operational excellence.

Weโ€™re looking for a technically skilled leader who is eager to build their career with a company that values craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead and promote a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
  • Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance team members
  • Plan and schedule preventive and predictive maintenance activities
  • Diagnose equipment failures and oversee timely repairs
  • Manage spare parts inventory and critical components
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Communicate effectively with operations and leadership teams
  • Monitor equipment performance to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
  • Analyze root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain a strong understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs), including daily and weekly production, efficiency, downtime, quality, and safety, to support effective decision-making
  • Implement projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs
  • Lead and support safety, health, and environmental initiatives within the maintenance team
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance documentation
  • Support plant operations with additional responsibilities as needed.

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required

  • Experience in the wood products industry preferred.
  • Associate degree or technical/vocational certification is a plus
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
Salary Range: $73,000 - $104,000
