We are currently seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead the on-site management of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. As a Traveling Superintendent, you'll collaborate closely with Project Managers and provide leadership, mentorship, and expertise to Assistant Superintendents, driving project success and fostering professional growth within the team. This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned professionals looking to advance their careers in commercial construction.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong, hands-on leadership on the job site, guiding and mentoring Assistant Superintendents and other team members.
  • Oversee the management of construction sites, including coordinating subcontractors and overseeing employees to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Actively mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and advance their careers within the company.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of all subcontractors on-site to ensure timely and quality completion of tasks. Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors to ensure cooperation and high performance.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs and reports, to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of project progress.
  • Implement and oversee quality control processes to uphold high standards of workmanship, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds project specifications and industry standards.

Requirements for the Traveling Superintendent Position:

  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a solid track record of successful project completions.
  • Extensive experience in managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on-site.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed construction goals and project timelines.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and technological communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Logical thinking with a commonsense approach to challenges.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools, with a willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality on all job sites.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Must have a valid, insurable U.S. driver’s license.
