SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

Seeking an exceptional educational leader with the following qualities:

  • A skilled communicator who embraces the diversity of a small city school district and develops partnerships with community and regional partners.
  • A culturally competent instructional leader with a proven track record of educating ALL students and supporting the whole child.
  • An innovative visionary who will elevate the academic expectations, rigor and outcomes of the school district.
  • A community partner who promotes Literacy, STEM, the arts, athletics, sciences and civic opportunities.
  • A knowledgeable, transparent administrator with expertise in NYS curriculum, education law, finance, and data-informed decision making.
  • A proactive, forward-thinking leader accomplished in inclusive strategic planning, collaboration, and driving measurable results that advance district goals.
  • A leader who coaches and nurtures talent of the administrators, teachers and staff.

NYS certification as a School District Leader is required. Residency, a doctorate, and bilingual fluency in English and Spanish are preferred. An initial three-year contract and comprehensive benefits package will be offered at a minimum salary of $285,000 commensurate with experience. Anticipated start date: January 1, 2027.
