Job description

Are you a detail-oriented technician with experience in electromechanical assembly and testing? Do you have a background in electronics, electrical testing, cryogenics or superconducting technology? If so, Cryomagnetics, Inc. invites you to apply for our Magnet Technician position!

As a Magnet Technician, you will play a key role in assembling, testing, and ensuring the quality of these high-performance systems.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Assemble electromechanical components, wire connectors/cables, solder, and perform mechanical operations.
  • Set up and operate test instruments for final product testing.
  • Energize superconducting magnets, measure field intensity/shape, and verify control system functionality.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with the Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and follow precise written/verbal instructions.
  • Ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and neatness in all production and testing processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • Required: Associateโ€™s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience in a related field.
  • Required: Proficiency in soldering, wiring, and using hand tools (calipers, voltmeters, etc.).
  • Strongly Preferred: Experience with cryogenics, superconducting magnets, or high-current power supplies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and follow complex test procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (10-15%) is a plus.
