Program OutlineA Season of Development for a Lifetime of Ministry

The Two Cities Residency is a purposeful, two-year leadership track designed to provide an open door into vocational ministry. Residents serve as integral members of our staff team, gaining hands-on experience and professional mentorship while leading in one of our core ministry tracks, including College, Missions, Worship Production, Student, Kids, Connections, Creative Communications, and Discipleship and Groups. Our vision is to prepare and launch men and women with holistic clarity about how the Lord has equipped them for ministry, focusing on the key pillars of theology, leadership, and character.

Debt-Free Theological Training

We believe in investing deeply in the leaders of tomorrow, which is why we provide a fully-funded academic pathway for our residents. While serving at Two Cities, you will earn a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) with all tuition costs covered by the church. This mentored program allows you t0 apply your seminary studies in a real-world context alongside your cohort.

At Two Cities, you won't just observe ministry; you will lead ministries and manage teams. Whether you are coordinating local outreach, leading community groups, or owning significant projects, you will leave this residency with a proven track record of success and a world-class degree. As a member of our dynamic staff, you will also be connected to the broader Summit Collaborative, gaining access to a national network of church planters and missionaries. We are looking for individuals hungry to grow and with a heart for the Great Commission who are ready to be shepherded well and deployed for the Kingdom.

Job Description

The average time spent per week will be around 40 hours. We do want to ensure that residents are taking two days off to rest each week.

  • Theological/Personal Development: 5-7 hours per week
  • Staff Meetings and Staff Training: 2-3 hours per week
  • Ministry Track: 20 -25 hours per week
  • Administration & Support Raising: 1 hour per week
  • Sunday Services: 7 hours per week (available to serve different ministries)
