Summit Academy North is currently seeking a positive, creative and energetic Occupational Therapist to join our Summit Family for the upcoming 26/27 school year!

Our doors at Summit Academy North have been open for 25 years, educating students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Located in Romulus, MI, our beautiful buildings are filled with over 1,600 inspiring young minds.

On any day, one can expect to find classrooms bursting with energy, as well as shared leadership, collaboration, and the freedom of our teachers to educate students to their fullest potential. We are recognized for our powerful mentoring program and year round professional development practices.

We offer before and after school activities for all students, including band, music and an athletic program.

Overview

Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals as a Part Time Occupational Therapist. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual who is committed to improving the quality of life for our clients. This role provides an opportunity to work in a supportive environment while having the flexibility of a part-time schedule.


Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate and assess clients’ needs, abilities, and goals.

- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to promote independence in daily activities.

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

- Educate clients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and best practices.

- Document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.

- Promote a positive and encouraging atmosphere for recovery and rehabilitation.


Qualifications

- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.

- Proven experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a similar setting.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Empathy and a strong dedication to client care and wellbeing.
