Position: Inside Sales Representative
We are seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our Norfolk, VA branch. This role is critical to supporting our customer base and outside sales team. The ISR will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with existing accounts while providing excellent service to walk-in and inbound customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and assist with an established range of approximately 1,000 active customer accounts (millwork fabricators, industrial woodworking companies, and high-end cabinetmakers).
  • Approximately 80% emphasis on farming existing business and driving new sales within current accounts and 20% new customers.
  • Staff the sales counter and serve as the first point of contact for walk-in customers.
  • Handle inbound calls, emails, and texts while supporting Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Collaborate with the branch team to provide product knowledge, service solutions, and order fulfillment.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that reflects Wurth Wood Group's reputation as the distributor who "works hard for us."

Schedule:
Onsite role only - this position is not remote or hybrid.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
Why is this role open?
This position is open due to the recent promotion of current Inside Sales Associate.
Compensation:
This is a performance-based and commission-driven role.
Gross Annual Pretax Estimated Total Compensation: $55k to $65k.
Base Compensation is $20.00/HR with the rest of the estimated earnings in the form of monthly commissions.
Actual gross pretax compensation will vary based on individual performance, experience, and other factors.
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of Inside Sales experience preferred.
  • Industry knowledge in woodworking/building materials is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle high-volume customer interaction.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships and provide solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and customer-focused.
