Woodworking Apprentice
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Woodworking Apprentice for a company based in Marietta, Georgia. In this role, you will assist in the Wood Millwork Department, supporting skilled team members with various tasks while learning hands-on skills in woodworking and millwork fabrication.
This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in their career to learn a skilled trade, receive cross-training in various aspects of millwork, and grow within a company that’s investing in the next generation of craftspeople.
Pay Rate
$18.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 5:00 pm
Woodworking Apprentice Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with basic millwork tasks under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Help prep and move materials for planers, saws, and assembly work.
• Support shop clean-up and organization.
• Learn to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Participate in cross-training across different millwork duties.
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Additional related job duties as assigned by management.
Woodworking Apprentice Qualifications and Requirements
• Strong interest in woodworking or carpentry.
• Shop class, summer job, or woodworking hobby experience is a plus.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and be part of a team.
• Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
• Drug screening and background checks are required.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted (in-office lifting assessment required) and stand for extended periods.
