Summit Contracting is now accepting applications for summer internships for the Summer of 2025 on our Post Frame Construction Crews in Platte, SD. This internship will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry, working alongside seasoned professionals building premiere structures that will span generations for our customers.


As a Post Frame Construction Intern, you will be mentored by our experienced professionals in every aspect of the building process from start to finish, gain networking opportunities, increase your overall skillset and knowledge in the construction industry, and gain potential full-time and scholarship opportunities with Summit Contracting for the following year. We pride ourselves on being the premier builder of agricultural structures in South Dakota and Nebraska. Everything we build, we build with excellence and pride. We want to show the world that no one builds better than Summit. To achieve this, we strive to hire those who share our core principles and values that made this company what it is today.

Requirements:


  • Must be enrolled in a post-secondary program relating to the construction industry

  • Must be able to lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds

  • Must be open to travel overnight occasionally Monday-Friday

  • Ability to work at heights exceeding 20 feet

  • Ability to work a 40-hour week with overtime
