Your Role on the Team
This recruitment is for Temporary Painter positions through UC Irvine's internal temporary staffing department. This is for temporary positions within the housing units for our Summer Housing Project, which is expected to run from June through October (exact dates to be determined).
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform skilled interior and exterior painting projects across Student Housing facilities.
  • Maintain and organize painting tools, equipment, and supply inventory.
  • Ensure storage areas are clean, safe, and well-organized.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to staff assisting with painting projects.

Actual Pay Rate for Project: $47.37/hour
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
Required:
  • 1-3 years Trades-level skills in painting to support painting training, troubleshooting, inspection, specification development, etc.
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.

TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT
This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements. Certain temporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver's License for driving university vehicles.
The majority of our temporary positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. We also have occasional part-time, weekend, and evening hours available, depending on the assignment.
