Custodial Summer Intern
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
  • High school student (age 16+) or college student
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • No prior experience necessary; training will be provided
JOB DESCRIPTION:                 
  • Fairfield Public Schools is seeking motivated and responsible high school student or college student to join our custodial team for the summer. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience, develop practical skills, and contribute to the upkeep of our school facilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:                 
  • Assist with daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Support custodial staff in setting up and breaking down furniture for events and activities.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks under the supervision of experienced staff.
  • Ensure that school facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
