Job description

Our client, hospitality industry is seeking a Summer Server for Private Club to join their team. As a Server, you will be part of the Food & Beverage Department supporting the Service Team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Serve and bus buffet style meals, with some food preparation involved.
  • Assist members and guests with professionalism and attentiveness, ensuring exceptional dining experiences.
  • Uphold club standards for presentation, service timing, and table etiquette to enhance member satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Assist with clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

What's Needed?

  • Seasonal job, summer months. 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day, shift times vary. Half hour lunch break  for straight shift,  if it’s a split they get 15 minutes. 2 days off a week, we try to have those days together unless requested otherwise.
  • Starts mid-June with 2 weeks of training at 20 hours per week, then moves to 40 hours per week. Runs through end of August/early September. Possibly through mid-October depending on business.
  • Room and board are available for $10/week. The housing is dorm-style so there would be a roommate and a shared bathroom. Not required to live on site but with the lengthy commute and high gas prices we do recommend it! 
  • Previous experience in food service preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a positive attitude.
  • Availability for seasonal employment during summer months, with flexible shift times.
