Become part of our team! We are seeking a Part-Time Summer Server. The right candidates will be passionate about food service, and thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our members. The ideal candidate will have a positive, professional disposition. You will experience the satisfaction of working for a world-class facility and learning to meet the demands of a high-end private club.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Server plays an integral role in ensuring Club members have an exceptional dining experience. Provide food and beverage service to club members and guests. The Server also assists in maintaining a clean service area and places safety procedures as a top priority.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Setup side station and performs assigned work
  • Distributes menus
  • Provide immediate attention to all members/guests upon seating
  • Fills glasses with ice water, answer questions, and suggest menu items
  • Take member/guest orders
  • Place orders with kitchen and informs cooks about any special cooking instructions
  • Assembles food on tray and procures items from each station as necessary
  • Serves meals and places dishes by course in front of each person
  • Ensures member/guest satisfaction and replenishes water and butter as needed
  • Removes soiled dishes
  • Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks
  • Keeps tables, dining room, and bus station areas clean
  • Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
  • Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by supervisor

COMPETENCIES

  • Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees
  • Knowledge of Jonas Software or similar club software

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions for this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. Frequently exposed to noise, heat, and cold. Must occasionally lift and/or move items over 30 pounds. Must be physically present.

EXPERIENCE

Three to five years’ experience as a server in a hospitality setting providing high quality service.

Knowledge of food and wine a must.
