Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a part-time Library Services Assistant to support the School of Management and Labor Relations James B. Carey Library Director in the daily operations at the library circulation desk and provide optimal customer service to all library patrons
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Checks in/out library materials.
  • Processes interlibrary loan and mailing requests.
  • Processes periodicals, course reserves and library reports.
  • Maintains book stacks and patron areas.
  • Answers patron questions in person or on the phone, regarding library resources, services, and school information, and/or refer questions to the Library Director as needed.
  • Assists patrons use of the computers, printer and scanner.
  • Sorts and shelves library materials.
  • Collects and maintains accurate statistics on library use.
  • Follows established policies and procedures of the school and library.

$20 - $22 per hour
