Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the department of Neurosurgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University.
Rutgers RWJ Medical School takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all to improve human health. Our faculty are teachers, clinicians, and scientists with unparalleled experience who advance medical innovation and provide patient care informed by the latest research findings.
Rutgers RWJ Medical School is seeking a Temp Research Assistant to perform specialized research and examine the effects and perform laboratory techniques of a specialized nature under the direct supervision of the PI. The Temp Research Assistant will assist with the preparation of grant applications, reports, and scientific manuscripts as requested.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • As directed, performs various research operations relative to ongoing investigatory activities of a Core service facility; may assist in conducting specialized research phase of a project.
  • Perform experiments independently or as assigned, followed by appropriate reports, recommendations, and conclusions.
  • As requested, assists in the implementation of the programs and projects in special areas of interest including the collection of data, and preparation of reports, manuscripts, and grants.
  • Generates, compiles, and presents statistical data with appropriate conclusions, recommendations, etc. pertinent to research and service activities.
  • Attends regular team meetings to assist in the design of experiments and provide support with general equipment and laboratory maintenance and prepare protocols and reports for inspections and accreditation.

Minimum Education and Experience
