Now Hiring for Summer 2026!

These positions supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening community. Creates positive, nurturing relationships with children, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. Promotes and supports the potential of all youth in programs and facilitates peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall camp experience.

TRAVEL CAMP SCHEDULE: This program travels to various program locations across the Capital Region each week. Applicants must possess reliable transportation to report each week to the assigned locations below.

  • Week 2 Starting July 6th - Southern Saratoga YMCA / YMCA Adventure Camp
  • Week 3 Starting July 13th - Southern Saratoga YMCA / YMCA Adventure Camp
  • Week 4 Starting July 20th - Southern Saratoga YMCA / YMCA Adventure Camp
  • Week 5 Starting July 27th - Southern Saratoga YMCA / YMCA Adventure Camp
  • Week 6 Starting August 3rd - Southern Saratoga YMCA / YMCA Adventure Camp

ADDITIONAL WORK SHIFTS: There will be availablity for candidates to work summer day camp for week where travel camp is not running.

CAMP UNIT LEADER - $16.43 PER HOUR - MANAGES A GROUP OF CAMPERS

REQUIRED DOCUMENT(S): Resume (w/ALL childcare experience)

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
  • Must have knowledge of crafts, archery, camping, songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, recreational games, etc.
  • Previous experience working with children in camping, recreation, teaching, childcare or physical education is required.
