Malvern Day Camp is currently seeking to fill an Executive Director position at our Malvern Day Camp in Glen Mills, PA. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated, career-orientated Executive Director with strong parent communication skills, a collaborative, team-building approach to staff leadership and knowledge of the industry. The Executive Director position is at the management level with general responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Assuming responsibility for the daily operations (and every aspect) of the camp
  • Ensuring compliance with all licensing/accrediting agencies
  • Abiding by and enforcing all terms of Malvern Day Camp and The Malvern School Employee Manual
  • Producing written work for parents, staff, peers and supervisors that is of above-standard quality in composition, content, and timeliness
  • Maximizing the sales potential of all new leads and tours, playing an active role in generating new leads for camp through local marketing initiatives.
  • Managing Payroll and other controllable expenses to the maximum allowed each quarter.
  • Taking active steps to achieve budget goals and other revenue goals set by Managing Director and Executive Office.
  • Creating camp rosters and groupings that maximize use of staff and create enrollment opportunities for waitlisted children.
  • Following all required business management practices, such as charging late fees and maintaining deposit reporting, credit card forms, subsidy binder, P&L reconciliation, etc.
  • Earning and maintaining consistent customer satisfaction, maximizing enrollment potential and minimizing student withdrawals
  • Supporting the staff to ensure all staff members are educated and capable of planning and implementing a superior early childhood program
  • Performing the recruitment process for your school by placing job ads, attending recruitment events, and screening/hiring qualified, quality personnel
  • Ensuring efficient and sufficient staff/child ratios are maintained in order to meet budgetary and Malvern Day Camp guidelines
  • Ensuring proper orientation of all new hires and create and communicate current staff performance evaluations
