Do you love the water and want to make a positive impact in Lexington this season? The C.M. Gatton Beaumont YMCA is looking for vigilant, community-minded Summer Lifeguards to join our aquatics team!

Summer Pay: $15.00 per hour
Season Dates: Starting May 18th through September 7th

What You'll Do
Safety First: Maintain constant surveillance of the pool, deck, and locker rooms to prevent accidents and provide immediate emergency care if needed.
Rule Enforcement: Fairly and professionally enforce pool rules to ensure a safe environment for all members and guests.
Facility Care: Keep the Beaumont facility top-notch by performing routine maintenance, including deck cleaning, skimming, and clearing obstructions.
Member Engagement: Be a friendly face! Answer questions, provide great customer service, and embody our core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
Professionalism: Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings to keep your skills sharp.
What You Need
Age: Must be 16 years of age or older.
Certifications: Valid Lifeguard Certification, Basic Life Support, First Aid, & Oxygen Certification (required).
Skills: Excellent swimming ability
Commitment: Reliability to work scheduled shifts throughout the summer season.

The C.M. Gatton Beaumont YMCA operates during the following hours; we offer flexible scheduling within these windows:
Monday - Friday: 5:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M.
Saturday: 7:30 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.
Sunday: 10:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M
