Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring Camp Counselors to work with young campers ages 46. This role is perfect for educators who want to spend their summer outdoors, active, and making a positive impact on young children.

About the Role

As a Camp Counselor for ages 46, you will help create a safe, structured, and engaging environment where young campers are introduced to baseball and softball through age-appropriate games and activities.

No advanced sports experience requiredwe provide all training, curriculum, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and engage campers ages 46 in small groups
  • Lead age-appropriate games, activities, and beginner sports instruction
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
  • Support social development, teamwork, and confidence-building
  • Manage daily routines, transitions, and behavior
  • Communicate positively with campers, parents, and staff
  • Collaborate with Site Directors and fellow counselors
Qualifications
  • Experience as a preschool teacher, daycare teacher, or early childhood educator preferred
  • Experience working with children ages 36 (required)
  • Background in early childhood education, child development, or teaching is a plus
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

Schedule & Commitment
  • MondayFriday (~8-hour days)
  • Summer camp season (JuneAugust 2026)
  • 35 week commitment preferred
