Summary
The Analyst - Mobis Parts Operations manage inbound/outbound traffic regarding transportation of auto parts for Mobis Parts America and their suppliers with container moves. They will also manage shipments to minimize costs while maximizing profit for Glovis as well as to ensure that all customer inquiries are responded promptly and professionally. This position will also be responsible for AR/AP Process, weekly, and monthly closing reports and various projects as required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide and Covering In & Out Bound operations services
    • Coordinate and monitor US inbound traffic regarding the transportation of auto parts with customers and provide assistant regarding documentation, inland deliveries, and customs related operations
    • Manage demurrage/detention/chassis charge to minimize cost for the customer
    • Be able to calculate any fees occurred for containers including demurrage, detention, chassis, storage, prepull, stop over, driver detention and etc. and advise customer in timely manner with occurring charges
    • Notify customer in advance for the containers that may occur any charges
    • Notify any occurred charges to Accounting department so they can invoice customers
    • Provide report for subordinate employees performance to supervisor and manager
    • AR/AP process, monthly closing report
    • Provide report to supervisor and manager
    • Update daily operation and provide daily, weekly, and monthly report
  • Maintain list of all approved carriers and route guides by management and implement an effective cost-saving container transportation system
    • Thoroughly understand customers' demand and adjust daily operations to fit customers' needs including container delivery date change requests
    • Send container tracing report to customers weekly or daily requested by customer
    • Notify customers with updates from when the container departs from the port to customer warehouse including estimated time of arrival and current location of the container
    • Coordinate internal/external communication to enhance operation, and report critical issues to the Manager and Management and maximize profit for Glovis
    • Liaising between managers and subordinate employees, as well as collaborating with other departments to optimize container move services
    • Handling customer queries and escalating serious complaints to management
    • Other duties as assigned

Compensation
$50,000 - $58,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
