Shift: 8-hour Days, 8x5
Schedule: Varied shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; 4 weekend shifts required every 4 weeks, plus 1 summer holiday
Job Description
This position is for an Occupational Therapist (OT) in an acute care department. The role involves supporting patients from physician orders throughout the hospital, which includes managing a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing occupational therapy services to acute care patients, including those in ICU, stroke/neurological cases, orthopedics, and general debility.
  • Utilizing Cerner charting software to document and track patient progress effectively.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty area.
  • Current GA Occupational Therapy license.
  • NBCOT Certification.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Holiday and Schedule Expectations
Holiday work is mandatory, requiring the completion of:
  • 2 major holidays from the following: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day.
  • 1 minor holiday from the following: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve.
