Duke University's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has an immediate need for an on site Research Technician II in Dr. Liping Feng's lab (part - time summer position through August 2026 only).
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Training
Work generally requires a bachelor's degree in botany, biology, zoology, psychology or other directly related scientific field.
Experience
None required above education/training requirement.
OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Position Description:
Assist with animal husbandry, handling, monitoring, and experimental procedures for PFBS exposure studies in accordance with approved IACUC protocols.
Support dosing, sample collection, necropsy, and tissue processing for reproductive and developmental toxicology experiments.
Coordinate and assist with imaging experiments conducted in collaboration with the Yao laboratory, including animal preparation and scheduling.
Maintain accurate experimental records, animal logs, and data documentation to ensure research compliance and reproducibility.
Prepare laboratory materials, reagents, and equipment needed for animal and imaging studies.
Assist with data organization, preliminary analysis, and preparation of research summaries for laboratory meetings and project reporting.
Ensure proper laboratory safety practices, animal welfare compliance, and maintenance of research workspaces.
Collaborate with laboratory personnel, graduate students, and research staff to support timely completion of project milestones and ongoing funded research activities
