Your Future Team
The Steelcase IT organization supports business processes through technology, enables business growth through data and insights, and helps drive technology innovation across the organization. Interns are placed on teams across areas such as Infrastructure, IT Security, Software Development, and other business technology functions, where they contribute to meaningful work that supports our global business.
Throughout the internship, you'll gain hands-on experience working on prioritized projects and business initiatives while receiving support through regular feedback, mentorship, and exposure to senior IT leaders. You'll collaborate with global IT teams, learn Agile ways of working, and gain experience balancing project work with day-to-day operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in a STEM-related field and actively enrolled in a degree-seeking program throughout the internship.
  • Ability to work full-time during the summer internship program.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Grand Rapids area throughout the internship.
  • Ability to travel between Steelcase locations in the Grand Rapids area, as needed.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The company will not offer sponsorships or work visas now or in the future for this role.

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, IT Security, Informatics, Information Science/Technology, Management Information Systems, Security and Risk Analysis, or another related STEM field.
