1st Shift

Position Overview
OMG currently operates in two Divisions: OMG Roofing Products and FastenMasterยฎ. OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. Heat Treat Rackers produce world class fasteners for OMG using safe machine operating techniques and effective lean manufacturing principles. The Heat Treat Racker must be a team player and committed to delivering only the best quality to our customers.
Position Responsibilities
  • Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees.
  • Place/drop screws into racks in preparation for heat treating process.
  • Unload screws from rack after heat treating process.
  • Stack and organize screws into tubs.
  • Observe all safety rules.
  • Assist other rackers and machine operators to stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
  • Maintain a neat and well-organized work area.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
  • Positive can-do attitude.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in high noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices.
  • Ability to mount/dismount forklift utilizing three points of contact (two hands and one foot).
  • Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch.
  • Ability to work in an elevated ambient temperature environment.
  • The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to complete all essential job functions listed in the position responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
